Check out our interview with Iowan native Sierra Annie from the Sierra Annie Band!

What project(s) are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on recording my third single!! So excited! 🙂

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

My uncle lived with me for awhile growing up, and he always had a band. I had a huge crush on his bandmates and so I begged him to be in the band. He told me if I practiced hard that maybe one day I could be in his band. It wasn’t until I was probably 12 or 13 that I discovered my genuine love for singing and songwriting. At that point I knew I wanted to help people with my music and make a living doing that.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

I’d want to settle down and start a family honestly. As for a career, I’ve got nothing. I would be lost if I couldn’t do this all the time.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

I like to lay in bed and listen to my records, write songs, hit up the thrift stores in Nashville!

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Cole Sprouse. Duh.

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

Chicago Cubs, baby! I’m a huuuuge baseball girl.

What is the last movie that you watched?

The Waterboy… haha.

What is the last album you listened to?

 Living Proof – State Champs

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

 The 1975, Self Titled Record

What is the greatest country song of all time?

The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia – Reba McEntire

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

St. Charles, Iowa!!!

What is your favorite meal?

 Casey’s Pizza

Who is your dream duet partner?

 Cassadee Pope

Who would you like to go on tour with?

Dan + Shay, Luke Combs

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

To be an influence on the world. Music is so much more to me than a hobby, it’s a healing outlet. If my songs can heal me through writing them, I know they can heal others through listening. Even if I couldn’t sing or write music, this would still be my goal in life. I know that’s my purpose on earth and I’m so happy I was blessed with a musical talent; it makes helping others so much fun in the process.
