What project(s) are you currently working on?

We just recently put out a new single “Luck of My Own”, which is a fun, uptempo barn-burner, with lots of southern rock and blues/roots influences. We decided to change directions a bit with our next release “Charlotte Has You” on August 28th. It’s a more personal and heartfelt ballad about being on the road and getting back to home and the person you love.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

It’s hard to point at one specific thing. I started taking piano lessons at age eight, and writing songs and playing piano at my church when I was thirteen. I’ve played tons of different styles of music and it’s always been a big part of my life, so I guess I’ve always known. Fortunately, there’s always something new to explore, so I never get bored!

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

Honestly – probably something boring and predictable. Surviving in the music industry is a chaotic rollercoaster, so there are definitely times when I’d appreciate having a regular schedule!

What is your favorite downtime activity?

I really like cooking, particularly Cajun/Creole food. There’s a lot of creativity and technique involved in doing it right, plus the big payoff is that you end up with awesome food every night!

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Probably Miranda Lambert! She’s been my go-to for a long time!

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

Florida State Seminoles football. It’s been a tough couple years, but I’m staying faithful even though the hard times!

What is the last movie that you watched?

Uh… a Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie heist movie my girlfriend picked out that I can’t remember the title to!

What is the last album you listened to?

Top to bottom? Larry Fleet – “Workin’ Hard”. If you haven’t heard about this guy yet, you’re seriously missing out! He’s got a really unique sound that’s really classic, but still fresh and original. He blends old school soul, blues and R&B with bluegrass, roots and contemporary country. It’s a must-hear for sure.

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Probably “Chief” by Eric Church. It’s my all-time favorite.

What is the greatest country song of all time?

I’d have to say “Mama Tried” by Merle Haggard. If I’d gotten abducted by aliens and had to explain the genre to them in one single song, it would have to be that one!

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

Besides my hometown… Roanoke, VA has been really good to me. We’ve been playing there for about three years now, and have gotten to open for Rodney Atkins, Hardy, Filmore, and Travis Denning there. We’ve also celebrated two New Years there. Special shoutout to Scott and everyone at Sidewinders Saloon for giving us a chance!

What is your favorite meal?

My girlfriend’s mac n’ cheese is the most amazing thing I’ve ever had. Throw it on a plate with a medium-rare ribeye, and something healthy and green, and you can’t beat it.

Who is your dream duet partner?

Probably Carly Pearce – I think our voices would fit well together.

Who would you like to go on tour with?

Probably either Brothers Osbourne, Jon Pardi or Luke Combs. I feel like it would be such a master class in performing, musicianship, and songwriting to hang with those guys. Not to mention a whole lot of fun!

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

Eventually I hope I can get multiple Top 10 hits, a platinum record, and my own headlining tour! Obviously we have a ways to go, but I plan to keep on hoping, praying, and working for it!
