What project(s) are you currently working on?

I’m back in the studio working on a song of mine that I wrote back in 2018! It’s a special and vulnerable song and I’m really excited to share this softer side of me as a follow-up to my 2021 singles, “Over A Drink”, and my current one, “Floatin’”.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

I’ve always been involved in the arts in one way or another. I went to a fine arts school growing up, in addition to being a dancer. So it was inevitable that I would end up in the entertainment industry as my job.

As for when I knew – around the age of thirteen, I had started to write songs on piano and my Dad’s classical guitar. I found a huge love for writing and sharing my songs with friends and family. That winter, I had written a Christmas song and performed it at my school’s recital. The feeling of singing in front of a crowd was so different from anything I had done, and I was hooked.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

Believe it or not, I would definitely be in healthcare. I’ve even taken anatomy classes just for simply finding it interesting. I love helping people in that way and feel like a wannabe nurse, most of the time. There are many family members on my mom’s side are also all in healthcare, so I’ve always been around it.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

Baking, cooking, and spending time with my close ones. Pinterest controls my life, so I love hosting special dinners and making good food. Also, growing up on the West Coast of Canada, there’s always so many outdoor activities to do. My happy place is being by the water, going on hikes, and camping in the summertime.

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

When I was younger, I was obsessed with Orlando Bloom. I even had a pillowcase of him and everything. Nowadays, I can’t get enough of Ryan Reynolds – he’s funny and not bad on the eyes, if you ask me. Haha!

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

I grew up pretty much living at a hockey arena with my family. So, I gotta stick to my hometown hockey boys, the Vancouver Canucks.

What is the last movie that you watched?

My best friend and I had a good ol’ movie night and watched “Dirty Dancing”. Snacks, singalongs, and all.

What is the last album you listened to?

I’ve been obsessing over Olivia O’Brien’s latest album this year. I’m such a fangirl of her songs. She’s the kind of artist that I can listen to every day and never get sick of it.

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Chris Stapleton’s “From A Room: Volume 1” – I could listen to those songs on that record on repeat without a doubt. The songs as a whole are awesome for any mood I’m in.

What is the greatest country song of all time?

“Crazy” by Patsy Cline. Written also by country legend Willie Nelson. It hits every element of what a country song should be. It’s a timeless song.

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

In 2019, I was on the road to Nashville. Our truck broke down in a small town in Arizona called Kingman. At first, I was panicking that we were stuck and trapped there over the weekend while we waited for parts. However, it turned out to be such a fun time. The town was charming and a lot of fun. We stayed at a motel with a pool and went out to the local bar called the Rickety Cricket. Ended up writing a few tunes about that place!

What is your favorite meal?

Big taco fan here. I could probably eat Mexican food of any kind for my only meal for the rest of my life.

Who is your dream duet partner?

Tony Bennett. In another life, I would have loved to do an album with him.

Who would you like to go on tour with?

Would love to hit the road with The Cadillac Three; they’re my kinda dudes for sure! Or Miranda Lambert. She’s great for supporting new female artists too. She’s one of my all-time idols too, so that would be such a dream.

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

Headlining arena tours and being a Grand Ole Opry Member. Nothing I love more than singing live, and country music.
