Tell us about your new single, “Hollywood Sign”?

Hollywood Sign tells the story of a couple ending the night by sitting on the hillside with the iconic sign as city life carries on below – a true testament to enjoy the simple things in life as it goes on, the sign standing as a symbol like that of a special person who is always looking over you.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music, and when did you know?

I’ve been writing and creating music for many years. When writing about life experiences, it really came down to some of my friends and family pushing me to start releasing some of these songs. It’s a really nervous feeling knowing that these songs will start to be released for people to either criticize or give positive feedback to because the songs mean a lot to me. I think that’s the most uncomfortable feeling about growing into a music career – being open to the public with such an emotional part of my life.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

I would be in the Real Estate industry full-time because it’s a people-person business, and I really enjoy working with people, trying to solve problems and assist with real estate matters and needs.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

In the downtime I try to play with my kids as much as possible. One of my favorites is when we play at the ranch, in the dirt, on the side by sides or ride dirt bikes together.

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

Our family is huge San Francisco Giants fans. I actually try to collect as many San Francisco Giants hats that I can in all different colors; it’s just an obsession I have to find the unique SF Giants hat with the cool color combo. It’s not the only hat I wear – I do have several other types of hats in the closet as well.

What is the last movie that you watched?

The last movie I watched was more of a documentary. It was about Robin Williams, called Robin’s Wish, and I have to tell you, it was such an educational, inspirational and emotional film. I would definitely recommend you watch it.

What is the last album you listened to?

I was camping with some of my buddies and we played the Jason Aldean album, which set the mood.

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I could only listen to one album the rest of my life it would be really tough to choose one. However, I would listen to the Steve Miller band album called Abracadabra because this was an album I continuously played when I was at my grandparents’ house for the summer in Coeur d’Alene Idaho, and it brings back a lot of memories of when life was very, very simple.

What is the greatest country song of all time?

There are many, but the first that comes to mind for me is Garth Brooks’ “Rodeo.” My mom and I would rock out to this song, and it brought us so much joy.

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

I have not been to a lot of different states or countries, but one of my favorite places that I recently visited would be Nashville. It has so much culture, and it’s built around the creative minds of musicians, writers and artists, which is very inspirational.

What is your favorite meal?

Although one of my favorite meals is a Thanksgiving meal, I have to say when I have an opportunity to request a restaurant for a birthday or special event, I seem to always request Ruth’s Chris Steak house because my favorite meal there is a steak and a couple sides.

Who is your dream duet partner?

One year, we went down to Stagecoach with a group of eight people, and our goal was to see Willie Nelson play live. He is just a such a special person to watch grow old. We missed him at Stagecoach, so we all piled into our vehicle and drove up to Santa Barbara and left stagecoach early to see Willie Nelson play the Santa Barbara bowl. If there was one duet partner I would dream to sing on stage with, it would be Willie Nelson!

Who would you like to go on tour with?

At this point in my career I am open to touring with almost anybody, LOL, however, I would really like to tour with Florida Georgia Line. I saw them live in concert once, and the vibe of their show is very up-tempo and fun, which some of my music and some of the tracks I will be releasing give a similar vibe. I think it would be very cool to share the same stage with Florida Georgia Line.

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

My ultimate career goal in the music business would be to create music that people can relate to and enjoy!
