2021 Texas Country Music Award Winners

We had the privilege of attending the 2021 Texas Country Music Awards last night at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, TX.  We did our best to record as many of the winners as we could, but due to crowd noise we didn’t catch each category.  We also did our best to take as many photos as possible, but a bout of food poisoning slowed us down a bit.  Here are the winners we were able to document!

  • Single of the Year:  “I Will” by Darrin Morris
  • Christian Single of the Year:  “What I Already Know” by Scotty Alexander
  • Roots/Alternative Artist of the Year:  Creed Fisher
  • Trailblazer Award:  Walt Wilkins
  • Young Artist of the Year:  Bailey Rae
  • Live Music Venue of the Year:  Schroeder Hall in Goliad, TX
  • Album of the Year:  American Soul by Aaron Watson
  • Terrestrial Radio Station of the Year:  Maverick 100.9 (College Station)
  • Internet Radio Station of the Year:  Made in Texas Radio
  • Broadcast Personality of the Year:  Buzz Russell at 99.1 Texas KNES-FM Fairfiled
  • Christian Artist of the Year:  Jason Allen
  • Country Band of the Year:  Kin Faux
  • Emerging Artist of the Year:  Clay Hollis
  • Western Swing Band or Artist of the Year:  Jake Hooker & The Outsiders
  • Male Artist of the Year:  Darrin Morris
  • Female Artist of the Year:  Morgan Ashley
  • Entertainer of the Year:  Aaron Watson

  • Bassist of the Year:  Andrew Carrell
  • Fiddler of the Year:  Damien Green
  • Guitarist of the Year:  Scotty Alexander
  • Keyboard/Pianist of the Year:  Sam Jones

  • TCMA Artist Scholarship:  Abbey Duncan
  • Country Songwriter of the Year:  J. Michael Harter for “Truck Back”
  • Christian Country Songwriter of the Year:  Jacob Bryant for “Sometimes I Pray”

Performances throughout the night included Darrin Morris, Sundance Head, Ariel Hutchins, Cody Hibbard, Walt Wilkins, Brandon Rhyder, Triston Marez, Clay Hollis, Curtis Grimes, Sarah Hobbs, and the headliner, Aaron Watson!
