1. Hi there!  Would you mind starting off by telling our readers a little bit about yourself and your background?

I’m a Montana born, singer-songwriter now living out my dreams in Nashville, TN. I spent my childhood listening to AM country radio in our barn. I was a total tomboy, farm kid raised on country music and hard work.

2. Your new single is called “That’s What I’m Talking About.”  How’s the feedback been from country radio on it?

The feedback has been awesome! It’s amazing and really special to hear that stations are making room for it and adding it to their playlists. Every time I hear “That’s What I’m Talking About,” I can’t help but sing along and dance. I hope it’s affecting the listeners like that too.

3. How would you best describe your style of music?

I like to call my style BANG BOOM POW music–did you just smile? It’s modern country with an extra helping of Montana twang.

4. What are some of the goals you’ve set for yourself in your career?

My immediate goals are focused on writing great songs that stand the test of time. I would also love to perform on the Opry or at the Ryman someday. It feels like those two dreams are just around the corner–that would be amazing!

5.  What’s been the biggest “Wow” moment in your career so far?

Performing a song I wrote called “Shoebox” at the famous Bluebird Café. That song is very dear to me, it exposes a lot of my vulnerability, so feeling it resonate so strongly with the audience there as was definitely one of my favorite career “WOW” moments.

6. Outside of music, what is something that you are really passionate about?

I’m passionate about empowering young people. I love paying-it-forward by sharing my journey and insights with the hopes it will inspire others. I also get an immense amount of joy working with great organizations like Operation Smile, Best Buddies and performing an annual concert in my hometown of Bozeman, MT to raise funds and food for the local food bank.

7. What’s the #1 item on your Bucket List, outside of music?

Well, it just happened. I never thought I would find my unicorn, but I did. I’m in love and recently married.

8. What would you say are your biggest strengths and weaknesses as an artist?

 My biggest strengths are perseverance and determination. I would say my weakness is being loyal to a fault and having a hard time saying no.

9. What is your favorite charity to support?

There are 3 that I am actively involved with; Best Buddies, Operation Smile and the local food bank back home in Bozeman, Montana.

10. What advice would you give to an aspiring artist trying to make it in the music business?

 I love the Oscar Wild quote: “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” Be authentic, work hard and know the only one who can quit is you. No one can force you.

11. Any final thoughts or comments you’d like our readers to know about you or your music?

I love being challenged. I’ve shot six shooters off the back of a horse, learned how to ballroom dance and literally swam with sharks all to pursue my love of having new experiences. I don’t believe in NO. “No” means “next opportunity” to me.
