Months ago, Brett Eldredge went sky-diving to celebrate “Don’t Ya” going number one, and said that if “Beat of the Music” does the same, he’d go swimming with sharks.  “Beat of the Music” did go #1, and Brett held to his promise!  Here is the video of his diving adventure!  Would you ever go swimming with sharks like this?

Congratulations to Chris Young for landing the #1 song in Country Music this week!  In an era when Bro-Country dominates the airwaves, it’s reassuring to know a more traditional-sounding song like “Who I Am With You” can still fight it’s way to the top.  Way to go Chris!

Each week, Country Aircheck releases stats on how many radio stations officially added songs to their regular rotation of current hits.  This week, 3 of the top 5 names on the list are newbies!

New duo Maddie & Tae had the most added song this week with “Girl In A Country Song” (not to be confused with Maggie Rose‘s new single “Girl In Your Truck Song“).  It looks like the ladies want in on the Bro-Country that’s been dominating Country Radio recently!

Second on this week’s list is Dean Alexander with his song “Live A Little.”  Luke Bryan‘s “Roller Coaster” places 3rd this week on the list, while 4th place belongs to Brett Eldredge‘s “Mean to Me,” a song that he looks to drive up the charts to be his third straight #1 hit!  Rounding out the top 5 this week is Canaan Smith with “Love You Like That.”

While it’s safe to presume that Luke Bryan and Brett Eldredge will see their new singles climb towards the top of the charts, the other three will face an uphill battle.  Have you heard any of these songs yet?  Which of the three newbies do you think has the brightest future?
