What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

My whole life,  I’ve always made music,  I’ve decided to see how far I can take it professionally now, for me, my family, and my supporters.  But it’s always been there.

Anyone that’s willing.

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

I wanna share my upbringing and reserve my influences and heritage through my songwriting,  and like to find a way to make it lucrative enough that it helps ease the time it takes away from my family and friends.  That means building an audience that enjoys the work enough to want to come see shows and download tracks, so ultimately I wanna find that audience and settle in.

Check out our latest interview as we introduce you to 15 year-old rising artist Queeva from Chicago, IL.  She is currently under the mentor-ship of country star Jamie O’Neal, so she is in good hands and destined for big things!

Artist Name: QUEEVA (originally spelled “Caoimhe”)

Hometown: Chicago

What project(s) are you currently working on?

I just released my album, which is super exciting, titled How Do You Know. It is available on all streaming platforms. I’m also working on my new single that will be coming out really soon. So that’s what I’ve been up to!

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

I always wanted to be a singer, since I was really young and I was also working on becoming an actress at the same time because I also had a love for acting. But when I was about 9 years old, that is when I started working with Jamie O’Neal and I started writing music and I feel like that’s when I actually realize “ok, I want to focus on music.” Music always had a special place in my heart and it’s truly what I always wanted to do.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

I would definitely be an actress. Again, that’s what I also grew up doing with I was about 7 years old, working on becoming an actress but everything changed when I started writing music with Jamie O’Neal around 9 years old.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

I love swimming in my pool and playing with my dogs and spending time with my siblings and my family.

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

I guess I would say Chris Hemsworth. I mean, who doesn’t have a crush on him?!

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

The only sport that I’m really interested in is hockey so, my favorite team would have to be the Chicago Blackhawks. I’m not really into baseball of football or basketball.

What is the last movie that you watched?

I just watched the new Fast and Furious: Hobbs & Shaw. I saw that yesterday and it was really good!

What is the last album you listened to?

GIRL by Maren Morris – It’s a great album!

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Taylor Swift’s, Fearless. I just love that album. I feel like it’s such a classic and I could never get sick of those songs.

What is the greatest country song of all time?

“Forever and Ever Amen” by Randy Travis. I think it’s such a great song and it’s super iconic.

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

Definitely Nashville because I go there a lot and I love the people there and its such a great music city.

What is your favorite meal?

Pizza or mac n’ cheese. They are both my go-to. I’m not very adventurous with food. I’m a very simple kind of person so those are both my favorite.

Who is your dream duet partner?

Thomas Rhett. He has such great vocals and energy. He also did a duet with Maren Morris that sounded amazing so I would love to do a duet with him.

Who would you like to go on tour with?

I would love to go on tour with Luke Combs because I’ve been really loving his music lately. He seems like he would be a really fun person to be around.

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

To put out music that people will enjoy. I would love to play at the Grand Ole Opry!
