  • Hometown: Kelowna BC

What project(s) are you currently working on?

I’m always writing new music but I’d say the biggest project right now is trying to find new ways to promote my Album while not being able to play shows. It’s been tough but also fun  thinking out of the box.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

I always loved singing but when I started writing songs and learning to play the guitar, that’s when I knew it was something I could do for the rest of my life. Writing a song is so gratifying and playin it on a stage with a crowd full of people when they’re all singing the lyrics with you is so electrifying. I use to watch the family channel a lot and I always saw all these young kids singing and writing music and I thought “if they can do it, so can I” so I did.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

I think acting would be so fun. Anything to do with the entertainment industry is right up my ally. I was a competitive figure skater growing up so I was entertaining from a very young age.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

It really depends what mood I’m in that day. If I’m feeling active I love going for hikes but if I’m feeling lazy I love binge watching movies on my Apple TV haha. I also love baking on my down time.

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Harry Styles and Liam Hemsworth hehe. They’ve been my celebrity crushes for a while now!

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

The Phoenix Coyotes. My family has a house in AZ so I spend a lot of time there, my dad always takes the family out to watch the games so the team has really grown on me.

What is the last movie that you watched?

I literally just finished watching a movie called “The Crazies” and it was crazy haha. It was kinda like a zombie movie, I enjoyed it but I love scary movies, they are my favourite.

What is the last album you listened to?

Mine hehe… but besides my own, I listened to Sam Hunt’s new album and its killer!

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Another tough one haha. This one is hard because I get so fixated on one song that I listen to it over and over again till I can’t anymore, but if I had to choose.. Taylor Swift’s first album. Her album was one of the reasons I started pursuing music in the first place so I have to give her credit.

What is the greatest country song of all time?

Friends In Low Places! That song will never go out of style, so good. That being said there are way too many good country songs out there, they are endless.

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

Austin,TX. I recorded my album there and I fell in love with the place. They live and breathe country music there and the nightlife is so fun. Every bar is playing live music and there are neon and string lights and it’s just such a fun atmosphere. I actually ended up writing a song about the place and it’s the first track on my album. It’s called “Austin”

What is your favorite meal?

Turkey dinner, but not just any turkey dinner, it’s gotta be my mom’s. She makes the best turkey dinners

Who is your dream duet partner?

Right now.. Parker MCcollum. I love his voice and his style. I think he has a unique voice and everyone always says I have a unique voice too and it would be cool to sing with him. I also love his melodies and would love to write with him.

Who would you like to go on tour with?

I would love to go on tour with Bob Segar just so I could pick his brain on his songwriting. I think he is one of the best songwriters of all time.

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

Honestly to make a happy comfortable living doing what I love to do. I love making music and making people feel something, and if I can continue doing that for the rest of my life, while being able to support myself, that’s the ultimate dream.

What project(s) are you currently working on?

Working on a record with Dave Brainard that is slated for release later this year.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

I  started singing in a tourist group in East Kentucky called the Kentucky Opry Jr  Pros when I was 7 years old. That definitely lit the fire.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

I think I would start a business of some sort. I  love building things from scratch and being able to be creative and have the opportunity to grow things. I don’t think I  would do so great with a real job. 🙂

What is your favorite downtime activity?

Gardening! Both food and flowers. And hanging out with all my animals! I    have a small mini farm outside of Nashville. More like a small petting zoo. 6 goats 8 chickens, 3 dogs and a 3 legged cat!

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Oh boy! I  don’t think about stuff like that! Hmm Chris Pratt? I    love the funny guys.

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

 Kentucky Wildcats of course!

What is the last movie that you watched?

Oh goodness.  I think I fell asleep during that last movie I watched!  Something on netflix!

What is the last album you listened to?

Either Brandy Clark or Jason Isbell. I’ve been bouncing back and forth between the two. They’re so good!

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

That’s a hard one. There’s so many great records I  love. At the moment I would have to pick Bobbi Gentry and Glen Cambell’s duet record.

What is the greatest country song of all time?

Gosh. There’s so many fantastic country songs.  I love any good ol country song that’ll make me cry. Anything written by Harlan Howard.

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

Denver, Colorado

What is your favorite meal?

I eat pretty healthy most of the time but I  love a good ole southern breakfast. Biscuits gravy, pork chops eggs and fried apples.

Who is your dream duet partner?

Willie Nelson

Who would you like to go on tour with?

 Chris Stapleton

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

To be heard. There’s so much stuff being put out into the world and so many things fighting for people’s attention,  I   just  hope the music I make actually makes its way to people’s ears.
