  • 2011 – Colt Ford‘s Every Chance I Get album is released
  • 2010 – Historical flooding occurs in Nashville when the Cumberland River overflows.  The Grand Ole Opry stage is two feet underwater, the Ford Theater in the Country Music Hall of Fame is 5 feet under water, and Julie Roberts has to be rescued by boat from the 2nd floor of her home.
  • 2010 – Sammy Kershaw announces his candidacy for Lieutenant Governor for the state of Louisiana
  • 2006 – Ricky Van Shelton announces his retirement from Country Music
  • 2006 – Chris Young is signed to a record label deal with RCA Records
  • 2005 – Keith Anderson‘s debut album Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll
  • 2004 – On his 27th birthday, Eric Church is offered a record label deal with Capitol Records
  • 1986 – Dolly Parton opens up her theme park, Dollywood
