What project(s) are you currently working on?

We’re really excited to finally be sharing our debut single “Fool for Love”. Our single is a true country love ballad and we are honoured to have had Grammy-nominated producer Garth Fundis (Trisha Yearwood) and multi Grammy-winning engineer Chad Carlson (Taylor Swift) bring it to life. We also just released our first ever music video which features clips of us throughout the years. We’ve been together since we were 15 years old so we had a lot of material to work with!

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

Honestly music has always been the ultimate dream for both of us. We’ve been playing music together ever since we first met (over 13 years now). We spent many of those years playing music any chance we could but made sure to focus on our education and professional careers. In the summer of 2019, we had a busy summer of playing shows at many music festivals which gave us the drive and need for more music in our lives. It wasn’t until December of 2019 that we decided to officially take the next step in our musical career and chase our dream.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

We actually do have other careers at the moment which happen to be full time jobs on top of our music career. Sabrina is a full time elementary school teacher and Dave is a Medical Radiation Technologist.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

Being from Northern Ontario, we love spending time outside and making the most of our beautiful isolated area. In the Winter we love going snowshoeing in the trails and in the Summer we love to spend lots of time on the lake kayaking. It always feels great to unplug in nature.

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

As true northerners, hockey is the most popular sport around. Dave’s favourite team is the Ottawa Senators while Sabrina honors her Dad’s favourite team, the Montreal Canadiens. It definitely makes for some fun rivalries from time to time.

What is the last movie that you watched?

With our full time jobs plus our music, we don’t often have time to watch full movies so we resort to tv shows. We currently have a few on the go and the last one being “This Is Us”. It’s such a touching show!

What is the last album you listened to?

One of our favourite hobbies is listening to our favourite vinyls from our record collection. The last album we listened to was “So Far” by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. The harmonies are unreal! We also love the album artwork created by the one and only Joni Mitchell.

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Sabrina: For me, it would be “Heart Like A Wheel” by Linda Rondstadt. I’m just a huge Rondstadt fan! She can make any song her own. Her voice is so powerful and soothing at the same time. I actually listened to “You Can Close Your Eyes” non stop while recording “Fool for Love”.

Dave: My album choice would be “Traveller” by Chris Stapleton. This was his debut album and he once said in an interview that the songs on this album were years in the making. Every song on that album tells a different story and it just feels so real and I never get tired of it.

What is the greatest country song of all time?

Not sure if we could make the decision on one song alone but if we had to it would definitely be one of Merle Haggard’s many songs. He was such an amazing story teller and we could listen to him all day long.

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

We’ve had the chance to play a couple of shows in Ville-Marie, QC which is a small town only a few hours away from our current home in Matheson. One thing we really love about playing in QC is the culture and love of the arts. We’ve had nothing but amazing hospitality when playing there. Also, the scenery there is just beautiful!

What is your favorite meal?

Dave: Pizza, Sabrina: Cheese and Crackers (…if that counts as a meal! Basically anything with cheese!)

Who is your dream duet partner?

Vince Gill! A killer guitar player and one of the best harmonisers in the business makes this a no brainer for us. We’ve always looked up to Vince Gill and his music and we really hope to meet him one day.

Who would you like to go on tour with?

Honestly we feel that we could learn so much from any country musician or band and we’d be honoured to tag along in any opportunity given.

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

For us, our ultimate goal is to one day be able to do music full time. We’ve made some significant progress in our music career over the last few months and we hope that the live music industry can get back up and running so we can play out and get our music out to the world.

  • Artist Name:  Kristen Kelly
  • Hometown:  Lorena, TX

What project(s) are you currently working on?

Something Worth Saying, part 1 (released Feb 9, 2021) and Something Worth Saying, part 2 coming soon!

Hosting my “Something Worth Saying” (once a month) songwriters round at Live Oak in Nashville.

Launching my podcast called “Something Worth Saying”.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

To be honest I played Junior Olympic and college volleyball and I thought I was gonna be a volleyball coach. I grew up singing in church, was in choir in school and later sang in a classic rock cover band before getting a commercial music management degree from McLennan Community College (Waco, TX).

After graduating I started focusing on my original music and here I am.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

I honestly can’t imagine doing anything else but a fun fact is I do have my TN Real Estate license and I love house stuff!

What is your favorite downtime activity?

I love hanging with friends and family but at any given chance you’ll have a hard time finding me because I’ve unplugged, dropped off the map and am working on getting closer to God in the woods somewhere.

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Hmmmm… I don’t typically crush on folks but I suppose Charlie Hunnam.

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

Favorite sports team depends on what sport we’re talking about but I do love me some baseball and the Texas Rangers are my team.

What is the last movie that you watched?

Last movie I watched was “I Care A Lot”.

I don’t wanna give anything away but it really upset me because there are some not nice people in the world unfortunately.

What is the last album you listened to?

Last album I listened to is “I WIN” by Adam Wright.

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Any Merle Haggard album.

What is the greatest country song of all time?

That’s such a tough question to answer but to me and in my humble opinion “The Way I Am” will always be one of my favorite songs.

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

Another tough question to answer but I really loved Chicago which is ironic given that I’m a small town Texas girl.

What is your favorite meal?

I love me some TEXMEX!

Who is your dream duet partner?

A dream duet would be Chris Stapleton or Eric Church.

Who would you like to go on tour with?

I love being on the road so pretty much anyone but Eric Church or my buddy Hardy would be really cool!

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

Ultimate career goals are:

1. To keep making music that hopefully resonates with folks and what comes to be success wise is an added bonus.

2. Use my platform to shine a light on the truth and hard work of all the talented folks I’m blessed the good Lord crosses my path with.
