  • Artist Name:  Mikala Fredrikkson
  • Hometown: Blackpool UK

What project(s) are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on my debut EP!

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

I think probably the Spice Girls, Shania Twain and Elvis were some of the reasons why I became obsessed with music as a kid. Then I started singing and doing solo gigs singing covers when I was 18, I just did it, I didn’t know what else to do with my life, music has always been a constant thing for me and I didn’t know you could sing for a living without being ‘famous’ when I found that out,  I was out there singing in every bar club and event possible!

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

I would be working with horses or dogs, or a journalist.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

Horse riding 🐴

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Elvis – forever haha 😍

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

I don’t follow sports 😮 , but I watch England when they play football 🤣

What is the last movie that you watched?

Wonka – last night ! It was so sweet, literally ❤️

What is the last album you listened to?

Cody Johnson – Leather

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I can never make a decision on these questions, but maybe Morgan Wallen, Dangerous or Cody Johnson Human.

What is the greatest country song of all time?

I could never choose. Ever 😂 but “Cover Me Up”, Morgan Wallen’s version, Cody Johnson “By Your Grace”,  George Strait “Amarillo by Morning” and Larry Fleet, “Where I find God” are probably my go to songs right now!

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

I mostly visit UK cities and Manchester is my favourite, because it’s home, it’s northern and it’s authentic.  My favourite city to visit for pleasure is Nashville, USA.

What is your favorite meal?

Beef Tacos or a Sunday roast dinner.

Who is your dream duet partner?

Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton or Lainey Wilson.

Who would you like to go on tour with?

Dolly Parton! 👑

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

At this point in my life, after singing other peoples songs for so long, having my own music out there and for people to enjoy it and sing along with me at some live shows would be the ultimate goal.
