What project(s) are you currently working on?

My Song, “The Storm Song” is getting worldwide radio play!

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

I always had an interest in music, I remember joining the marching band in elementary school and learning how to play the snare drum. I liked it so much I wanted to learn how to play a drum set so, my uncle Greg bought me one. One of my sisters friends showed me how to play something then after that I was able to pick things up and create my own drum beats. When I was 16 years old a friend gave me a guitar and I knew right then and there that I wanted to learn how to play it. While I was learning to play guitar I started singing and that’s how I got to where I am today!

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

Playing music is not my only passion. I also have a passion for information technology. If for some reason I could not play music anymore I would be an IT guy. In fact, I have experience in the IT field and do a lot of IT stuff on my own such as build and refurbish computers!

What is your favorite downtime activity?

My favorite downtime activity is watching movies with my love Sara and my cats!

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

My biggest celebrity crush us the Irish country singer Lisa McHugh.  I actually  just discovered her country music and I love her music video and her cover of Dolly parton’s Applejack song.

What is the last movie that you watched?

The last movie that I watched was ‘Night School’ with Kevin Hart.

What is the last album you listened to?

The last album I listened to was Buck Owens, dust on mother’s Bible album

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I could only listen to one album for the rest of my life it would be Dwight Yoakam’s Guitars and Cadillacs album!

What is the greatest country song of all time?

For me Dwight Yoakam’s Guitars and Cadillacs is probably the best country song of all time!

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

I really haven’t done much traveling yet but if I could name one town that I’ve been to that I love it would probably be Cumberland Maryland!

What is your favorite meal?

My favorite meal is Chicken Alfredo!

Who is your dream duet partner?

My dream due at partner would probably be Dwight Yoakam.

Who would you like to go on tour with?

If I could go on tour with anybody it would definitely be Dwight Yoakam.

Interview with Leslie Ann Mosier

Jul 012021

Artist Name: Leslie Ann Mosier
Hometown:  Murfreesboro, TN

What project(s) are you currently working on?

I am currently writing and performing as much as possible and hope to be back in the studio before too long.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

I was born into a very talented family, so in some ways it’s just in my DNA. My father was a fairly well known entertainer and radio personality in Nashville in the 60’s and 70’s. My First Grade music teacher picked up on my ability in music class and gave me a solo in our end of the year program. From there, my dad started working with me and would get me up to sing wherever he would play. We also had a recording studio in our house, so I was called upon frequently to sing harmony and record jingles. Unfortunately, my dad died when I was a teenager, but I met a successful songwriter at a Monday open mic night shortly thereafter and began recording his demos. He had cuts with Reba McEntire Con Hunley and several other well known country artists. He was very encouraging and I think that’s when I knew I might just have what it takes.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

Currently I am  an underwriter for an insurance company in the Nashville area. I don’t know that there’s anything else I would want to do more than music, so I’m just thankful to have a great job that pays the bills.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

When I am not working or performing, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to support local bands and other artists as well as local karaoke venues. If I’m not doing that, I’m probably at home chilling and watching Netflix

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Oh gosh, it would be hard to name just one. My country music crush since the ’90s has been Vince Gill. My pop music crush is Bruno Mars. Both are incredibly talented songwriters and performers with a great sense of humor and they are both easy on the eyes.

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

I support the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators

What is the last movie that you watched?

I streamed a movie at home called “What if it Works?” It’s about a guy with severe OCD and a girl with multiple personalities who find a way to make a relationship work. I liked it because it dealt with real life issues.

What is the last album you listened to?

I don’t know that I have listened to an actual album all the way through in a long time. I am streaming music constantly. I believe it was Alison Krauss and Union Station.

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

That’s a tough one to answer and I’m probably dating myself here, but it would be a tie between “Sailing” by Christopher Cross and the soundtrack to Urban Cowboy. Those two albums have great tracks, but they include my two favorite songs of all time. “Sailing” is a song I could listen to over and over and I think “Look What You’ve Done to Me” by Boz Scaggs from the Urban cowboy soundtrack, is the most beautiful songs ever recorded.

What is the greatest country song of all time?

I think I would have to say The Dance by Garth Brooks.

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

I have been sticking pretty close to home lately. There’s no place like Nashville!

What is your favorite meal?

I can always go for spaghetti and meat sauce. That’s one of my favorite things to cook and eat

Who is your dream duet partner?

Oh wow! If only Kenny Rogers were still alive. I think he was one of the greatest duet partners of all time!

Who would you like to go on tour with?

You know, I think Keith Urban would be a great artist to tour with.

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

I would love nothing more than to be able to do what I love on a regular basis, which is write record and perform. I am hoping in the coming months and years, that will become more of a reality.
