  • Artist Name: Lisa Nicole
  • Hometown: Born in Grand Forks, BC – raised in Castlegar, BC!

What project(s) are you currently working on?

My album “Where Wild Hearts Beat” is coming out on August 13th! I’ve been releasing new music from the album in advance of that – with my current singles being “Count On You” followed by “Gypsy Girl” leading up to album release.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

I started singing when I was young! I’m pretty sure I was inspired to really do it when I started listening to Shania Twain on repeat, and to top it off – when I went to her Come On Over concert at age 12. But I knew younger than that. My first stage performance was at age 9, and I remember writing in school that I wanted to be famous when I was 16!

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

I love riding horses. I wish I could’ve pursued barrel racing!!

What is your favorite downtime activity?

Hiking or horseback riding! Someone slower paced would be reading a book on the beach.

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Oh – Sam Heughan from “Outlander” – I think it’s just the Scottish accent – haha.

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

To be honest I’m not a sports fan! I’ve never put sports on my TV in my life!

What is the last movie that you watched?

“Fatherhood” – it was pretty good!

What is the last album you listened to?

I just listened to Olivia Rodrigo’s album, “Sour”, and it was so good!! She definitely went through a break-up though!

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Miranda Lambert – “Weight Of These Wings”.

What is the greatest country song of all time?

There’s too many to pick – but the first one that comes to mind is “Forever and Ever, Amen” by Randy Travis.

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

Los Angeles is a pretty cool city!

What is your favorite meal?

Warm kale salad with sweet potatoes!

Who is your dream duet partner?

Already made my dream duet partner come true when I sang with Keith Urban as a pop-up concert in Nashville! It was one of those once-in-a-lifetime, never thought it would really happen moments that I will remember forever!

Who would you like to go on tour with?

I feel like Carrie Underwood and I would get along well, and Miranda Lambert.

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

To headline a tour of the world! Or headline the ACMAs or Super Bowl! Those are just so iconic. If you’ve played the Superbowl, you’ve made it!
