Remembering 9/11

We maintain a playlist on Spotify of Patriotic Music that we usually promote on the patriotic holidays – Memorial Day, 4th of July, 9/11, and Veterans Day.  These songs are a blend of somber remembrances and upbeat celebratory anthems.  Today, we share with you the music videos for some of the songs that are more specifically geared towards 9/11.  Many other songs were spawned from the events of this day and the resulting military action, but these are the ones that highlight this specific day the most.  #NeverForget #GodBlessTheUSA

This one from Alan Jackson will always be the signature song that comes to mind about that evil day.

Darryl Worley’s anthem “Have You Forgotten?” should never be removed from radio’s rotation (even though it has been).

Toby Keith expressed what many Americans thought with this one

He then also honored those that took the fight to the enemy with “American Solider”

A lesser known artist who has since left the public eye, Dusty Drake had this gut-wrenching song in honor of those that thwarted the fourth plane from achieving it’s targeted strike.

This Lee Greenwood song saw a rebirth in the days after 9/11, as American patriotism reached it’s peak in the last several decades.
