Check out our interview with 17-year old Kentuckian Dreyden Gordon!

What project(s) are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on my new single, “Soldier’s Story”

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

From a very early age I knew I wanted to pursue music. When I was two years old I began dancing on stage and continued doing that until around the age of seven when I began singing on stage. Legendary bluegrass pioneer Melvin Goins, is probably the main reason why I play music today. He was the first person to pull me on stage when I was in fact two. Later I began performing and traveling with him more regularly, singing and playing guitar with him until the time of his death. I was also greatly inspired by Dr. Ralph Stanley who was kind enough to allow a young boy, under the age of twelve, to perform on the road with him and his band. Those were just two of the many inspirations I had in music.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

Probably a historian or a history teacher. History offers a passage into a way of life and way of thinking that is oftentimes forgotten in modern society. And it can still serve as a relevant key in solving modern problems.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

Collecting vintage vinyl records and vintage instruments!

 N/A

What is the greatest country song of all time?

 “Dublin Blues” by Guy Clark

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

Bristol VA / TN  – Visiting Bristol is like stepping back in time seventy years, I love it! But overall, I love traveling and seeing new places!

What is your favorite meal?

bison steak, gator tail, or frog legs

Who is your dream duet partner?

Patty Loveless, Loretta Lynn or Linda Davis

Who would you like to go on tour with?

Jerry Lee Lewis, Bill Anderson or Willie Nelson

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

To write and sing songs that listeners can relate to and feel emotionally.

Kenny Chesney Announces 2022 Stadium Tour Dates

Posted by at 8:52 pm on November 1, 2021
Nov 012021

After a pandemic-forced hiatus, Kenny Chesney has announced a series of 2022 stadium tour dates with opening acts Dan + Shay, Old Dominion, and Carly Pearce.

“When we realized we weren’t getting to spend 2020 with No Shoes Nation, I never thought it would be three years until I would see my most favorite people in the world,” Chesney said. “My favorite place in the world is anywhere we all come together. They come strong. They get loud. They love the music. But most importantly, they live life – every second – for all its worth! They inspire me, and I want to get out there and get going, creating the greatest night of the summer every time we hit the stage.

“Putting this line-up together has been awesome,” Chesney continues. “We’ve got Dan + Shay, who continue to set records with their music and have been burning it up on their own headlining tour this year. We have an old favorite, who just keep getting better, Old Dominion – it’s almost like it wouldn’t be a stadium show without them! – and one of my newest friends in Carly Pearce, whose songwriting is so personal to her own life, yet so many people find themselves in her songs.”

“No matter who you are,” Chesney says, “someone who’s been coming since the very beginning or is curious what the fuss is all about, I wanted to give No Shoes Nation the best lineup of music that’s gonna give them the kind of celebratory night we all deserve after waiting so long.”
