  • Artist Name: Dan Petti
  • Hometown: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

What project(s) are you currently working on?

I am currently working in the studio recording more singles to release over the next year. I am always writing and co-writing, and working on production as well.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

I’ve been writing songs my whole life, and I fell in love with the guitar at 12 years old. I knew instantly that I wanted to have a life in music. My first Nashville trip in 2018 finally gave me the confidence to start officially releasing my songs.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

I am also passionate about teaching music, and still do that currently as well. Aside from that, I always wanted a career in journalism or radio broadcasting. That would have been pretty cool.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

I love watching or playing sports, reading, and cooking.

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Zooey Deschanel

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

Ottawa Senators, Toronto Raptors, and Toronto Blue Jays

What is the last movie that you watched?

Star Wars

What is the last album you listened to?

I listen to music every day… but full album?  Zac Brown Band – “Foundation” or Bon Jovi – “These Days”

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Eric Church – Sinners Like Me

What is the greatest country song of all time?

Tough to choose. Could I give 2 that I think are the most well written songs? I’d say either “God Bless The Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts and “Front Porch Looking In” by Lonestar.  Honourable mentions to “These Boots” by Eric Church.

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

Obviously Nashville is pretty good when it comes to music and food. I also loved my time in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

What is your favorite meal?

Smoked BBQ brisket with cornbread, beans, coleslaw, and mac ‘n cheese!

Who is your dream duet partner?

I would love to duet with Brad Paisley.

Who would you like to go on tour with?

Kenny Chesney!!

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

I would just want to keep getting my music heard by as many people as possible, release a full length album, and do a tour across the country.

Interview with Dreyden Gordon

  • Artist Name: Dreyden Gordon
  • Hometown: Grayson, KY

Check out our interview with 17-year old Kentuckian Dreyden Gordon!

What project(s) are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on my new single, “Soldier’s Story”

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

From a very early age I knew I wanted to pursue music. When I was two years old I began dancing on stage and continued doing that until around the age of seven when I began singing on stage. Legendary bluegrass pioneer Melvin Goins, is probably the main reason why I play music today. He was the first person to pull me on stage when I was in fact two. Later I began performing and traveling with him more regularly, singing and playing guitar with him until the time of his death. I was also greatly inspired by Dr. Ralph Stanley who was kind enough to allow a young boy, under the age of twelve, to perform on the road with him and his band. Those were just two of the many inspirations I had in music.

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

Probably a historian or a history teacher. History offers a passage into a way of life and way of thinking that is oftentimes forgotten in modern society. And it can still serve as a relevant key in solving modern problems.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

Collecting vintage vinyl records and vintage instruments!

What is the greatest country song of all time?

 “Dublin Blues” by Guy Clark

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

Bristol VA / TN  – Visiting Bristol is like stepping back in time seventy years, I love it! But overall, I love traveling and seeing new places!

bison steak, gator tail, or frog legs

Who is your dream duet partner?

Patty Loveless, Loretta Lynn or Linda Davis

Who would you like to go on tour with?
