Artist Name: Emma Svensson
Hometown: Ljusdal, Sweden

What project(s) are you currently working on?

At the moment I am mainly working on my own music. Writing, recording and planning the summer tour. I’m starting the new year with some new music! I’m also working on a duet with a new artist that I think will be awesome!

What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?

I’ve always loved being on stage as long as I remember. I took every chance I got when I was younger and I think I was around 6 y/o the first time. I’m that kind of person who loves the pressure and gets a kick when I perform. And by playing my own songs I feel like I give a beautiful piece of myself to the ones who are listening.

The folk music area where I grew up inspired me to listen to American folk music. I grew up on a horse farm so that part probably introduced me a bit too. Music makes me and the people around me feel good and it’s not more complicated than that!

If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?

I love people and I’m studying journalism and digital media as a side job. I wanna do something with Radio or TV.

What is your favorite downtime activity?

Riding horses and going on walks with my dog.

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Keith Urban

Who is your favorite sports team(s)?

Honestly I’m not in to sport at all😂

What is the last movie that you watched?

A Christmas Carol

What is the last album you listened to?

The Highwoman

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

In These Silent Days by Brandi Carlile

What is the greatest country song of all time?

Not Ready to Make Nice (The Chicks)

What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?

Nashville is my absolute favorite place on earth. Nothing could ever beat it!

What is your favorite meal?

Tacos

Who is your dream duet partner?

Chris Stapleton

Who would you like to go on tour with?

Maren Morris

What is your ultimate career goal(s)?

Be able to live on my own music. Play a lot of gigs with an audience that really listen to the music and are there for that! My dream stage is Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
