  • 2007 – Country Music Hall of Famer Hank Thompson passed away from lung cancer
  • 2007 – Little Big Town released their album A Place To Land
  • 2006 – George Strait was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame
  • 2006 – Brooks & Dunn took home 3 CMA Awards – Vocal Duo, Single, and Music Video
  • 2004 – Phil Vassar scored a #1 hit with “In a Real Love”
  • 2003 – 99.9 Kiss Country (WKIS – Miami)’s Gator locked himself in the studio and played nothing but Toby Keith for 4 hours after Keith got shut out at the CMA Awards despite 7 nominations
