Kenny Rogers Announces New Album (Duet w/ Dolly Parton)

Country Music Hall of Fame member Kenny Rogers will release his new album titled ‘You Can’t Make Old Friends’ October 8th. This will be his first studio album release in seven years! Rogers considers this to be some of his most diverse and complete work of his career.

As if this wasn’t exciting enough in itself, it gets even better! In 1982 Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton released one of country musics most memorable duets ‘Islands in the Stream’. Now after 30 years they are collaborating again on the title track ‘You Can’t Make Old Friends’.

Rogers says,“I can honestly say this may be the best album I’ve ever recorded. The musical diversity is extraordinary. It goes from songs I would normally sing, to songs I would normally never even listen to. In this business, you do albums to both grow artistically, and for the sheer love of music. We chose what I think are the most diverse and best songs I’ve ever had access to.”
