Texan newcomer Scott Dean just released his debut country album titled All Over Again, and it is a great CD worth getting your hands on!  We had a chance to ask him some questions to help you get to know him better…check out what he had to say below!

1. Where were you when you first heard yourself on the radio, and what was your reaction?

The first time I heard myself on the radio was during an interview on the Texas Tech radio station my freshman year of college. It was very exciting!!!

2. What is the #1 item on your Bucket List?

Performing during a sold out European tour.

3. Outside of music, what is something that you are extremely passionate about?

I would say giving back. We play a lot of charity events around Texas and it’s always special to be able to raise money for those in need.

4. If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

The Byrds “Sweetheart of The Rodeo”

5. If music wasn’t your career, what would you be doing for a living?

Sales

6. What is your favorite meal?

Seafood and pizza

7. What is your favorite sports team(s)?

Been a rough few years, but Texas Tech football tops the list… Followed by the Cowboys, Rangers, Mavs, and Stars…

8. What’s been your favorite city/town to visit?

Budapest

9. What are your thoughts on the state of today’s country music?

I think a lot of good music is being released in Texas and beyond. I do wish some of the Nashville production would get back to the roots. A lot of the production seems a bit too in the box.

10. What’s the best advice you could give to an aspiring artist?

If you aren’t willing to work extremely hard for a really long time, you’re in the wrong business. You need to have thick skin and be able to ride the roller coaster of ups and downs. Constantly write, practice, and strive to get better. Remember it is a business, but ultimately success starts and ends with you.
