1. Where were you when you first heard yourself on the radio, and what was your reaction?  Truthfully, it is the same reaction I get now. I go through a couple things, first I get excited, second I crank it up, then I listen critically and think of things I can do to make my performances better. I still get a real thrill hearing my music being played.

2. What is the #1 item on your Bucket List? My number 1 is to take my wife on a trip to New Zealand and to Israel.

3. What is something that you are extremely passionate about?  I am extremely passionate about our military as a cause, especially our veterans. Hobbies, the one I enjoy the most but don’t get to do very often is scuba diving. I would love to dive the Great Barrier Reef.

4. If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be? That’s tough, it would really be a toss up between Vince Gill‘s “The Key” or Clint Blacks “D’ Electrified”.

5. If music wasn’t your career, what would you be doing for a living? I would be in full time ministry.

6. What would your final meal be if you knew it was your last one? Prime rib, broiled potatoes, corn on the cob and cheesecake for dessert.

7. What is your favorite sports team(s)? Honestly I don’t have one. The only sport I really follow is MMA my favorite MMA fighter is George St. Pierre.

8. What’s been your favorite city/town to visit? Well, it used to be Nashville but now I’m living here. I’d have to say Dripping Springs, TX.

9. What are your thoughts on the state of today’s country music? I think we are like a pendulum and we’ve kinda swung far to the side of change, but I think what is going to happen is the swing will take us back a bit to a more traditional sound. At least I hope it does. I enjoy the music, the change but I really miss the more traditional sound.

10. What’s the best advice you could give to an aspiring artist? My advice is simple, work hard to be the best at your craft. If you sing, take lessons and practice, practice, practice. If you play an instrument, take lessons and practice, practice, practice. Stick to it, don’t give up if you really want it. You will hear “no” a hundred times before you ever get a single “yes.” Stay with it.
